Compost the organic product

Compost
is an important Organic product of Organic Chemical Industries. Compost can be prepared in industries and also in homes. Compost prepared in chemical industries is known as industrial compost. Here we will also discuss the industrial manufacturing of compost.

What is Compost:

Compost is made up of the decomposition of organic materials like leaves, shredded twigs, kitchen waste materials, dead animals, etc. It is known as black gold for farmers. It is also used in gardens. By adding compost plant growth and health increase.
Compost is a very important organic product of chemical industries used to synthesize organic food. Compost plays a key role to synthesize USSD organic food that full fill the health standards. So, organic industries producing compost had grown economically as organic food has high requirements and high prices. As we know topsoil where microorganisms and plants exist composed of inorganic material(air, water, minerals)
 and organic materials(hums) these materials provide bio elements to living things.
 With increasing the human population cultivation of crops has also increased causing deficiency in soil ingredients/materials. To overcome this issue chemical industries have played a vital role. It provides inorganic fertilizers and also organic compost to full fill the deficiency of ingredients in soil. But these days requirements for organic food are high. Everybody wants organic food grown by using organic compost; because it is full of nutrients obtained from organic sources and it also provides assistance to the soil to enhance its fertility. On the other hand, inorganic fertilizers can increase the yield of crops but they damage the natural fertility of soil and food using inorganic fertilizers also causes health problems.

  • Adding compost to clay soils makes it easy work for farmers.
  • In sandy soils compost increases the holding capacity of the soil.
  • composting is also a way of recycling leaves, dead animals, toiletries wastes, kitchen wastes, shredded twigs, etc.

Industrial compost Synthesis:

It involves the following steps;
Step no.1
Raw materials for compost are collected from curbside bins from homes, restaurants, parks, etc.

Step no.2
In step two contaminations are removed for further processing.
Step no.3
some food wastes and nitrogen-rich materials and nitrogen-rich sludge are mixed into a machine.
Step no.4
carbon-rich items, for example, leaves, branches, paper, etc. are mixed with sludge to get proper carbon to nitrogen ration
Step no.5
In this step carbon and nitrogen organics obtained from the above steps are converted into the final compost products. Chemical Industries follow three methods to obtain the compost, these are;

 windrow-composting
  • Windrow Composting: In this method, the organic material is arranged in long rows called windrows. These windrow piles are aerated by turning piles manually or mechanically. It provides optimal air, heat, and moisture to get the final compost. These rows are usually4-8 feet tall and 14-16 feet wide. This size is enough to generate enough heat and temperature for chemical reactions.
  • Static Pile Composting: In this method, organic wastes are mixed in a large pile. To aerate the piles' layers of loosely plied bulking agents(wood chips, shredded newspaper)are adjusted in such a way to pass air from the bottom top. These piles can also be placed on pipes that could provide or take away air from piles. In this method, compost is prepared in 3-6 months.

  • In-Vessel Composting: In this method, organic wastes are placed into drums, silos, and concrete-lined trench. In this method, a large volume of organic waste is processed without taking much space as in the windrow method. It provides good control of conditions like temperature, air, moisture, airflow, etc. The mixture is mechanically turned for aeration. The size and capacity are variable. This way compost is prepared in just a few weeks, but also requires more weeks or months for ready to use                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Step no.6: In this step dark soil compost-enriched in nutrients obtained from the above steps after 3-6 months is packed and sold to farmers or individuals for gardening and landscaping.

Benzene

 Benzene is prepared in the laboratory as well as in the chemical   industry . Benzene is a starting material for many other aromatic hydrocarbons. Industrial production of Benzene Benzene is firstly discovered in1825 by Michael Faraday who isolate it from oily condensate that was deposited in a compressed gas that was used at that time for the purpose of illumination. This gas was produced by the hydrolysis of whale oil. Benzene and some other simple aromatic compounds are the main starting materials for nearly all aromatic compounds. Benzene is prepared in a laboratory or in an industry. Benzene in addition to as a starting material for other hydrocarbons, it is used as a solvent. There was therefore high demand for benzene and other simple aromatic compounds. Their demand is mainly met by two natural sources namely Coal and petroleum. There are the following methods for the production of benzene on industrial scales : 1. Fractional distillation of coal tar (coal tar is ob...

Organic chemical industries

Hi, I am here to write about the organic industries and organic products synthesized by organic industries                                  Organic industries  Organic industries are those chemical industries that use chemicals/raw materials extracted from natural resources directly and they do not need further synthetic chemicals made in the laboratories. For example, in the synthesis of alcohol fermentation of carbohydrates is carried out which is the basic chemical. And the carbohydrates are synthesized by plants. This way carbohydrates are taken from plants. Similarly, gasoline is extracted from petroleum that is naturally found in nature as a product of the chemical reaction shown by plants, fossils of animals, etc. buried inside the earth's crust thousands of years ago. So the organic industries extracted the petroleum products without any chemical synthesis and obtain the desired organic...
